We are pleased to announce our monthly reading group schedule for this year’s theme of Beyond Borders. The texts and films below received the highest votes from past and prospective attendees from a long list suggested by the community.
The events are open to all and we would like to encourage anyone with an interest in the theme and texts to take part irrespective of their background or experience. For more information on the theme of Beyond Borders you can read our announcement here.
All the events will take place between 7 and 8.30 pm on the first Monday of every month and we will be meeting in a seminar room at the Birkbeck University School of Arts building (43 Gordon Square, WC1H 0PD).
Please note, we will be screening the two films, Space is the Place and Dirty Computer, on the same evening as the discussion session (so the 6th of January and 6th of April respectively) in the Cinema at 43 Gordon Square. Also, for the two short story collections, Broken Stars and Walking the Clouds, we will announce a selection closer to the events in question.
The year will be rounded off by a Beyond Borders conference sometime in September 2020, where we will build on the discussions we will have had in our reading group events over the previous eleven months.
